Giving to others truly is the cure-all pill for what ails us individually and as a society—so much so that you can’t help but wonder why it isn’t an integral part of our public education systems and corporations.
Service to others is the embodiment of what Albert Schweitzer said long before smart phones and Facebook became part of our cultural landscape:
“The only really happy people are those who have
learned how to serve.”
Until service programs are a mainstream part of most of our lives, I am doing my part to help promote the culture of giving back. It may not change the entire world but it will change someone’s world. As a first step, I have identified seven key character-building qualities that lay dormant in each of us.

Your character is the sum of all the qualities that make you who you are: your values, your thoughts, your words, your actions. You already carry each of “the Invisible 7” traits inside your heart and soul. And, whether you are totally aware of your day to day utilization of them or not, I would like to offer an adventurous way for you to activate each one. As you move from focusing on one trait to the next, you will learn more about yourself, about working with others, and learn to develop a savvy approach to dealing with relationships, tasks, and opportunities.
The Invisible 7 is a resource for people of all ages to reach outside their comfort zone and relate to friends, family and perfect strangers.
My hope for you is that, when you have completed the challenges in the book and thoughtfully answered the questions, you will recognize your own potential and the amazing potential you have to help and serve others.
